Who's Running The Show?
Founder, Alihan Turksen, created The PB Series to help American based athletes gain access to some of the opportunities he got during his playing career. During his late teens and early 20's, Alihan Turksen got opportunities to play with professional teams all over the world. He played professionally in Belgium (KVC Westerlo) and Turkey (Akhisarspor) before returning to America where he has played over 6 seasons at the semi-professional level.

Alihan Turksen - Founder

Behind the whistle, Alihan Turksen has coached a variety of youth players in Springfield, Massachusetts taking positions both as head coach and assistant coach. He helped create a safe environment for the players to be able to practice their craft while guiding them to achieve success both on and off the field. He helped tutor players in their academics to boost their opportunities at the collegiate level. His main focus was to give them the opportunity to be able to study at academically challenging universities as well as qualifying for scholarships. He has recently been coaching at the semi-professional level while also seeking to gain his coaching licenses.
OUR DIFFERENCE
Our tournaments encompass many different important aspects for youth. Of course, our top priority is to embody a sense of sportsmanship at every one of our tournaments. Our tournaments also have something to play for at the end. We look to inspire a competitive edge every game that you play so that every kick, decision, and moment means something. With our playoff style bracket system teams will play in group stage games that continue into a playoff system if teams qualify. The winner of the playoffs is awarded with prizes that you would see at the professional level. Professional style walkouts pre-game, awards for individuals as well as a presentation of team awards, and future benefits for finalists in all of our tournaments.
Every Moment Counts
We Care For Everyone at Our Events
We admire the dedication of every individual to be present at one of our events. For that reason, we go the extra mile to reduce costs for everyone involved before, during, and after our events.
How do we do this?
NO INTERMEDIARIES FOR TRAVEL: We don't use ANY travel agencies to negotiate rates on our behalf. All of our accommodations are negotiated and handled directly with hotel management. Doing this means that we get the lowest negotiated rate possible AND we do not take ANY commission, rebate, or money from the rooms booked for any members of clubs that attend our events.
CONCESSIONS PRICED AS LOW AS POSSIBLE: We negotiate with our vendors to get concessions at our events as close to market price as possible. For example, if you order a coffee and it costs $1.07 to make, we will sell it for $1.25 (covers our transaction costs with our credit card processor). We want to show our appreciation for attending families, players, and staff by making our events cost friendly.
EXTRA CARE FOR OFFICIALS: Without refs no one would be able to play the sport they love. Officials have had to do multiple games per day, every day, usually back-to-back, for whole weekends. To help alleviate this, we implement downtime between games to allow refs to recover and offer benefits at concessions stands if they need.
COMPETITIVELY PRICED ENTRY FEES: To help run a tournament weekend every team that enters the tournament pays a fee to help with running costs. Our tournaments are priced very competitively compared to tournaments that run in the area, but we offer the playoff system for older age groups that most others don't. Usually, a tournament weekend will consist of 3 showcase games and that will be all. If you perform well in our tournament during your first 3 games, you have the chance to qualify for the playoff rounds.
Centralized Data Approach
It can be VERY complicated to get scouted in the US landscape. Players play in tournaments, leagues, and attend camps throughout the calendar year with most of the data being lost somewhere in between. Our approach is to centralize footage and data from our tournaments to recommend to our own overseas partner clubs as well as keeping a database of information for scouts to access at whatever level they are at. With our playoff approach we look to highlight key clubs and players that performed well to give them the proper platform to shine.
